Sending money from India to Nepal via the Indo-Nepal Remittance Facility (NEFT)

It's a one-way, NEFT-based scheme that lets people in India send money to bank accounts or cash-payout points in Nepal, launched in 2008 primarily to help Nepalese workers in India remit funds home.

Account holders can remit up to ₹2 lakh per transaction; walk-in customers without an account are limited to ₹50,000 per transaction, and up to 12 such remittances a year.

No. If the beneficiary doesn't hold an account with Nepal SBI Ltd (which handles the scheme in Nepal), the funds can be collected in cash through Prabhu Money Transfer.
